Inside is a 660-ton circular mass damper to counteract seismic and wind-induced motion. It consists of 41 steel plates, suspended from eight steel cables, rests on eight viscous shock absorbers and can move sideways five feet in any direction. It is the largest and heaviest of its kind in the world.

The facade of the Abraj Al-Bait Tower is decorated with a glass mosaic. The main use of this tower is a clock tower, an observatory, a shopping mall, and a hotel. It is present in Saudi Arabia in the city of Mecca.
